STAMPER, Doris J.
age 71 of Huber Heights, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Kettering Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years, Clifford L. Stamper Sr. and father, Ward B. Napier. She is survived by her mother, Oda J. Napier; daughters, Donna J. Martin and spouse Allison Edwards, Linda L. Littell and husband Charles C. Littell III, Wedonia, and Lula May; sons, Jimmy and wife Margie, Clifford Jr. and wife Mary; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister Dixie and husband Bill, brother Donald and wife Pat, and beloved dog Cody. She has a large number of beloved relatives and friends. Doris was born on July 19, 1935 in Hazard, KY. She retired from Angel Manufacturing and was proud of her role as president and organizer of her local UAW union. She was active in the Red Hat Society, loved to travel abroad with her girls and adored her large family. Family and friends were the most important aspect of her life and she loved keeping in touch with her cousins, aunts, uncles, grandchildren and friends. We will all miss her dearly. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. STAMPER, Melisa, 48 of Dayton passed away Friday, September 29, 2006 at Miami Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness. She loved gardening, and being involved with school activities at Northridge Local Schools. She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Caudill. Melisa is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, James Ellis Stamper; son and daughter-in-law, David and Nakina Asher; daughter, Ashley Stamper; son, James Ellis Stamper, Jr.; mother, Joyce Caudill; sister, Pam York; and many loving friends. Visitation will be held 1-2:00PM Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.), where a memorial service will begin at 2:00PM, Pastor Matt Gapinski, officiating. Age 56, of Dayton, passed away at her home Friday, September 1, 2006, after an extended illness. Pam was born and raised in Booneville, Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband of the past 37 years, George W. Stamper; her parents, Charles & Alma Kilburn of Berea, Kentucky; two daughters, Marsha (& husband, Chris) Moss and Karen Stamper, all of Huber Heights; six grandchildren, Philip, Corey, Noah, Victor, Valerie and Michael; two sisters, Louann Robinson of Florence, Kentucky and Susan Kilburn of Berea, Kentucky; and numerous other family, friends and co-workers at Friends Care Nursing Home in Yellow Springs.

She attended Eastern Kentucky University, graduated from Wright State University School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse for over 20 years.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Pastor Kathy Pittman will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born December 21, 1967, in Springfield, the daughter of George Wilbur and Patricia (Ray) Stamper. She was employed as a clerk for Drug Castle. She is survived by her mother, Patricia Smith; her grandparents, Eugene and Margaret Ray of Springfield, and Guy and Betty Stamper of Springfield; three brothers, Johnny Ray, Allen Stamper, and Bobby Lee Stamper, all of Springfield; four half sisters; three half brothers, great grandmother, Martha Potter, of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at Littleton Funeral Home Thursday where services will be held. Rev. Ray McConnaughey of Pleasant Street Church of God officiating. Burial in Rosehill Burial Park.

Katherine Lee Short, 45, of Middletown, died Wednesday, Aug. 7,
2002, at Middletown Regional Hospital.

She was born on Feb. 20, 1957, in Middletown, the daughter of
William Carter and Armida (Stamper) Carter.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tammy (husband Buddy)
Elkins of Somerville, Ohio, and Kelly Seigrist of Middletown; a son,
Billy (wife Cyndi) Short of Trenton; four grandchildren, Madison
Elkins, Bryson Niehaus, Ashlyn Elkins and Mariah Lee Short; two
sisters, Lynn (husband David) Riddell of Hunter and Nancy (husband
Gary) Williams of Middletown; four brothers, William (wife Sky) Carter
of Somerville, Richard (wife Patty) Carter of Camden, Tom (wife
Jennifer) Carter of Hampton, Va., and Joe Carter of Defiance, Ohio;
her stepmother, Betty Carter of Lakeview, Ohio; two stepsisters,
Cathy Morris of Sarasota, Fla., and Beverly Silcox of Lakeview, Ohio;
a stepbrother, Doug Ruhl of Sarasota, Fla.; and numerous nieces
and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Paula Carter,
and a brother, Mike Carter.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at
Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harold
Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the
funeral home. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.
