completing the course in the public schools of Lincoln, she entered Shorter College of Rome, Georgia, and completed a
course in English along with her commercial course in June, 1905, and was immediately employed as stenographer and
bookkeeper by the Railway and Light Company where she continued to work till her marriage with Frank Caloway
Shropshire of Rome, Georgia, a cotton merchant of that city. To this union the following children have been born:

Janie Shropshire, born in Rome, Georgia, July 12,1911, and now a member of the senior class in the city high school.

Frank C. Shropshire, Jr., born in Rome, Georgia, February 9, 1913, and now a member of the junior class in city high school.

SHROPSHIRE, FRANK CALOWAY, son of Augustus Wright Shropshire and Clara White, grand-son of Frank C. Shropshire
and Mary Wright and of Milton White and Susan Myra Stamper, was born in Rome, Georgia, October 28,1885;
completed the high school course in the city schools of Rome; and then took a commercial course. After completing
his commercial course, he engaged in thebusiness of cotton merchant in his home city and is still engaged in that
business. For many long years, Rome has been noted as a cotton market and his selection of his home city as a
location for that business has evidently proved satisfactory to him. On April 2, 1908, he married Alma Burton of Lincoln,
Alabama, and they have the following children: (note of Golden Ferguson ... Janie, Frank C and Beulah).
