Dear Golden,

Tragedy has recently struck our family very hard. We are the descendents of Rosa Belle Byrd and James Buchanan
Hollon. Rosa Belle Byrd was the daughter of Mary Ann and William Russell Byrd. Mary Ann was the daughter of
J. B. Stamper.

Could you please put this information on your website and let our Stamper kin know? We sure need the prayers.
Death has come to this family twice in less than a month. In my next email to you, I will send information about
the second loss.

Dear Goldie and Stamper Kin,

It is with a very heavy heart that I must write this. Last January, Colleen’s son, Geoffrey, began experiencing
seizures and was diagnosed with epilepsy.

Mama Colleen gives her newborn son, Geoffrey Brent Taylor, a kiss. Geoffrey was born on February 10, 1988.

Physicians had tried many different drug regimens to try and bring the seizures under control. Recently,
Geoffrey was taking up to 6 pills per day. He was due for another doctor’s appointment to try yet another regimen.

A few months ago, Geoffrey was in a car accident, due to a seizure that occurred while he was driving.
The car was totaled, but he came through it without injury. A couple of weeks ago, he had a seizure that
caused him to fall onto a sidewalk and get some scrapes.

Late Monday night, October 2, Geoffrey was at a friend’s house. He thought it would be nice to drive to McDonald’s
and pick up a snack. Along the way, a seizure struck. The car drifted to the side of the road. Good Samaritans
called 911. The paramedics found Geoffrey slumped over the steering wheel. While checking him over, they found no heartbeat or breathing. They did their best to revive him and were able to bring him to St. Joseph’s hospital alive,
but just barely. The seizure had caused Geoffrey’s heart to stop beating. No one knows exactly how long he went
without a heartbeat.

Located at St. Joseph’s hospital is Barrow’s Neurological Institute. It is one of the very best Neurosciences Centers
in the country. They went right to work, running many tests to determine Geoffrey’s diagnoses and prognoses. Finally,
at about 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, they came to their conclusion. Geoffrey had passed away.

He didn’t suffer. When the seizure started, he simply went to sleep and never woke up. The date of death is
October 3, 2006. He was 18 years old.

As a young adult, Geoffrey made two decisions. One was that he wanted to be a musician. He was a talented
guitarist and singer. He gathered together other young musicians and formed a band. Occasionally, they performed.

The other decision he made was to be an organ donor. Colleen was with him when he got his driver’s license and
watched him place his wishes on the license. He explained to his mother that if anything were to happen to him,
he wanted to save lives. That was about two years ago and he never wavered in this decision.

Preparations were made to honor his wishes. Geoffrey’s many friends and family, all who love him and will miss him
so much, (myself included) took turns saying farewell as he lay in the ICU.

Now, many lives will be saved. While that is comforting to know, we still have the task of coping with this. As a family,
we are still hurting from Dad O’Connor’s passing less than 4 weeks ago. Colleen is shattered.

Of the eight grandchildren of the family of Raymond and Edith Taylor, this is the second one to pass away. The first
was Joshua Beckham Taylor, who was stillborn. Both were born to Colleen.
