The James Stamper that you mention doesn't seem to be the man I'm descended from. I've attached the information that I have. I'm the grand-daughter of Charles Bernard Wilson and Grace Harriet Foster. What doesn't appear in this report is a note from the census records. It states that James Stamper was born in Kentucky, and his parents were born in Kentucky. Also, the children listed under James's second wife are denoted as step-children, not James's children. I don't know if the last name of Stamper is actually theirs or if the census taker just assigned it. I've always been suspicious of the fact that James's second wife is called Lillie M. when that is also his daughter's name.
Zoo! You should see my place. I have three children, a six year boy, a 2 1/2 year old boy, and a 1 1/2 year old girl! The only reason genealogy gets done is because I want an escape from singing the alphabet song all day long, and talking about Sesame Street, and other cartoons. Have to stay an adult in some way, you know!

I'm wondering if you have information on a man named James A. Stamper. He was born around 1868 in Kentucky, possibly from Mt. Sterling or Lexington. (Information coming from 1920 Census of Cheyenne County, CO.) He married a woman named Rebecca "Becky" Dillion, also from Kentucky. Together they had four children. I'm descended from their eldest daughter, Lille May Stamper. Do you know where James Stamper might have come from?
I do have a collection of information on this clan, though I know I still have many wholes in my data. If you would be interested I can send you my information.
