Ada Margaret Stamper Age: 80 Passed Away: 2006-01-11 Funeral Home: BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Ada Margaret Stamper Hawley, 80, died Jan. 3, 2006. The Lee co, Ky., native was a a daughter of the late Bessie Linkous Stamper and Clayton Stamper. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Lee and Lt. Matthew Hawley, USN. Memorial service is at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 28, 2006, at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church in Chesterfield, Mo., with burial in Bellrieve Heritage Gardens Cemetery in Chesterfield. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hope Hospice, 27200 Imperial St., Bonita Springs, FL 34135. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Raymond Hawley; a daughter, Lee Ann Hutson of Dallas; a son, Mark R. Hawley of St. Louis; three granddaughters, Kim Dennison and Marcie Vigerust, both of Chicago, and Heidi Hutson Glover of Dallas; four great-grandsons; two sisters, Mattie Duncan of Russellville, Ky., and Ann Cannon of Bowling Green, Ky.; and a brother, Dale Stamper of Louisville. |

John Norris Stamper, Sr., passed away peacefully on December
7, 2008 following a year long battle with cancer. John was born February 7, 1931 in Pompano Beach, Florida to John and Lois Stamper. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Mary, son John Jr. of Bangkok, Thailand, daughter, Joni Mocas and husband Mark of Jacksonville, grandchildren Ian and Maya Stamper and Zachary and Jeremy Mocas, Sister Kathryn Strickland, many nieces' nephews and friends. John was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, Estelle Tippett and Lavon Chambers, two brothers, Homer "Doc" and J.W. Stamper. John was a railroad Conductor for many years, retiring from CSX Railroad in 1991. He began his railroad on the L.O.P. & G. railroad in Live Oak, Florida in 1945 and ended his career on the Great Smoky Mountain railroad in Western North Carolina. He played semi pro baseball for many years and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at FRASER FUNERAL HOME, 8168 Normandy Boulevard (904-781-4314). John was a member of Westside Baptist Church, 1775 Herlong Road for 27 years where his Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Keith Russell, Dr. Harold Hudson, Rev. Ray Mayfield and Rev. Jim Law officiating. Pallbearers will be John's nephews and honorary pallbearers are active and retired railroad friends and The First Men's Bible Class.
