Heck
ATHENS - Dr. Oscar B. oO.B." Heck Jr. died Friday, evening.
Feb. 3. 2006, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
Born Jan. 13, 1927, in Bartlesville. Okla., he was the son of
the
late Oscar and Gladys Nelson Heck. He was a retired associate
professor emeritus of the Ohio University Department of Biological
Sciences. He taught at OU from 1961 until his retirement in 1992.

He was a member of the Railroad Club of Ohio and Adiens Lions
Club.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served in Italy.
Dr. Heck
is survived by his wife, Janice Stamper Heck; two daughters,
Pamela (Brian) Copans of Cincinnati and Melissa Gee of Athens;
a sister, Martha Diebold of Gulf Shores, Ala.; a brother, Frank
(Betty)
Heck of Elberta, Ala.; several nieces and nephews. Besides his
parents, he
was preceded in death by a brother, William Heck. .' j
No services
will be observed. In lieu of (lowers, contributions may be
made lo a charity of the donors choice. Arrangements are by Jagers
and
Sons Funeral Home.

Mary
Jane White
AMESVILLE - Mary Jane White, age 88, died Sunday, May 22, 2005,
at Forest Hills Center. She was a retired solutions inspector
for Adria
Pharmaceutical.
She was
preceded m death by her husband, Clarence W. White; parents,
Blanche Hayes (nee Evenor) and Carl Hayes; sisters, Gwendolyn
Richardson,
Grace Stamper and Frances Hawk; and brodiers, John and Thomas
Hayes. She
is survived by a sister, Roberta (Foster) Williams of Calif.;
a sister-in-law, Betty
(Robert) Cooley of The Plains; brother-in-law, Lewis White of
Grove City;
nieces, Eleanor Bryant, Eileen Crider, Janet Rosette, Sandra
White, Hazel Hillis,
Becky Davis and Susie Bunch; nephews, Clarence White, Rick White,
Mike White,
Steven White, Allen White and Bobby Colley; many great nieces
and nephews and
great-great nieces and nephews, several cousins and dear friends.
The family
will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Long Funeral
Home,
5528 Cleveland Ave., Columbus, where funeral services will take
place during
calling hours. Rev. Larry Baker officiating. Private interment
will be at Mt. Hermon
Cemetery, AmesvilIe. .
