 Obituary: MAYTOWN, Ky. -- A 12-year-old Floyd County boy died Monday after his all- terrain vehicle collided
with a pickup on Plum Street in Maytown.
Floyd County Coroner Roger Nelson said Michael Todd Halbert of Langley died of chest injuries at 8:04 p.m. at
Our Lady of the Way Hospital in Martin. The Floyd County sheriff's office said Halbert's four-wheel ATV
collided about 6 p.m. with a truck driven by a juvenile, whose name was not released. Halbert was a sixth-grader
at Maytown Elementary School in Langley.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Emery and Beverly Ann Halbert of Langley; his mother, Faith Rosanne Campbell of Prestonsburg; a brother, Scott Halbert of Prestonsburg; a half brother, Nathaniel Campbell of Mousie;
three half sisters, Nikki Leigh Stamper of Prestonsburg and Brittany and Stephanie Halbert, both of Langley; and grandparents, Martin and Ruby Slone Halbert of Langley, James Francis of Russell Point, Ohio, and Norma Ritchie Francis of Wayland.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Hall Funeral Home in Martin, with burial in Martin Cemetery in Eastern. Visitation will be after 8 a.m. today.
