Scioto County, Ohio - Pine Grove Cemetery - Jefferson Township
Pine Grove Cemetery; also known as Harger Cemetery, is located on Fallen Timber Road, about 3/4 mile north of
Rose Hill and Black Run Roads. Stone date from the 1850s and the cemetery is still being used today.
Section 1: transcribed 01 June 1978 by Caryn Shoemaker; 08 June 1991 by Thomas Adkins.

 Hazelbaker Cemetery
Jefferson Twp; Adams Co, OH - Copied in 1967 and visited by Adams County Gen Soc in 1981. The cemetery is
located about 1/4 mile west of Blue Creek, 500 feet south of Rt 125 on farm, on hillside and in the woods. Poor
condition, overgrown and some stones down.

STAMPER, Susan BACH 4 Dec 1883 - 7 Dec 1964

Wheelersburg Cemetery - is located on the hill between old US Route 52nd and Sheila Blvd; Orter Twnshp,
Scioto County, Ohio. The cemetery covers 23 acres in the NW quarter of Section 15-2-20. The township
pioneers and others previously buried on the banks of the Little Scioto River were moved here in 1917. On
April 23, 1968, a tornado overturned and destroyed many of the tombstones in Wheelersburg Cemetery. Many
of the stones remain broken or toppled, although care of the cemetery has generally been good. Caryn R and
Duane Shomaker previously recorded inscriptions in this cemetery up to 1980. Feeling the need for a complete
revision and update, Virgil and Marguerite Ramsey recorded the entire cemetery, starting in September 1987
and ending in November.

STAMPER, Mrs James - June 25, 1868 Dec 17, 1942

Lucasville Cemetery, Valley Township, Scioto County, Ohio - is located two blocks from US Route 23 off
Scioto Street in Lucasville. The oldest section was probably originally the Lucas family graveyard. Most
stones are in good condition, and the cemetery is well-kept. SECTION IV: This is the second oldest section
of the cemetery, though walkways have recently been sold for graves.
Transcribed 15/18 June 1991 by Thomas Adkins
