DAYTON -- Police are investigating as a homicide the death of a 71-year-old man
found in the kitchen of his home Monday.

Police and paramedics were called to a residence in the 400 block of South Smithville Road
at Darst Avenue about 7:48 p.m. A person who identified herself to police as the man's cleaning
woman looked into a window at the back of the house and saw the man lying face down,
Lt. Robert Mannix said.

Paramedics had to break out a window to get inside and found the man in a pool of blood, Mannix
said. Although no weapon was found, police think the death is suspicious, Mannix said.
The man's name was not released

This is Jr. Stamper, think his mother was Esther Lovelace. His wife died a few months ago,
think she was a Swango.
