 Mrs Margaret Kane Ranck

July 23, 1901 - Feb 12, 1978

 

Mrs Margaret Kane Ranck, of 634 Marshall Drive, retired Owsley County teacher and co-founder of the Faith Hill Mission, died Sunday at her residence after a long illness. She was 76.

Mrs Ranck taught in Owsley County for 37 years and while there she and her late husband, Rev Chester Graham Ranck, founded the mission with churches at Lucky Fork, Mistletoe, Ricetown and Bee Branch.

A native of Pennsylvania, she was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

She is survived by a son, David W Ranck of Ft Lauderdale, Fla and three grandsons.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home with burial at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Faith Hill Community Church Cemetery. Visitation after 4 p.m. today.

Margaret was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; daughter of Alexander Kane and Maggie Glass. Chester Ranck and Margaret Kane were married: 6/27/1931 at Westminster Presby.Church in Philadelphia.
